Happy Monday: Small Shifts Toward a Stronger, Happier You
I recently came across a few articles in one of my “Happy Monday” files. One in particular caught my attention; it’s titled "To Inner Joy" by Leigh Anne Bryant. What captured me is that what she wrote, back in October 2005, is absolutely relevant to our reality today.
Six ways to be a stronger, happier, and more compassionate person:
Come on, get happy! A smile helps you connect with family, friends, neighbors, and strangers, and that connection is what life is all about.
Accentuate the positive. Choose to be cheerful, not because the world is a great place all the time, but because it’s better when you approach it with a positive spirit.
Learn to be resilient. How quickly (or not) do you bounce back from adversity? The more flexible you are, the easier it is to deal with life’s stresses.
Discover your compassionate self. As Mother Theresa has shared, “We cannot all do great things, but we can do small things with great love.”
Reveal your authentic self. Be you in the most natural state.
Accept others for who they are. Learn to accept and celebrate differences.
Intentionally Own It: What personalized growth does this message encourage me to pursue, and why does it matter? When will I take action, and what value will it add to my life and others?
